Rooted in science.
Led with heart. Created for you.
I quickly recognized that what works for one person doesn’t work for everyone, and I wanted to expand my knowledge. That’s why I pursued a Master’s in Reproductive Medicine - and sought extra training in functional medicine.
Over time, I began to see how conventional medicine can sometimes miss the mark when it comes to providing true support. I believe this gap can significantly impact outcomes for patients. What I initially thought of as "covering gaps" in my own knowledge ended up being exactly what my patients needed most - help navigating fertility options and integrating both natural and medical approaches to bring everything together.
My interests have since expanded into women’s health, particularly the neuroscience of pain, especially in conditions like endometriosis. This sparked a deep passion for understanding how the brain influences fertility.
After the birth, I faced challenges with breastfeeding and struggled with feelings of shame about needing medical support. When my daughter was five months old, I discovered I was pregnant again.
It was a tough time, especially while juggling a business. The biggest challenge with my second pregnancy was the pressure to pursue a VBAC, which was heavily pushed by the natural health community - despite medical advice not to. In reality, I was stressed and didn’t have the mental space to go up against the hospital. I learned a big lesson: an empowered birth is about being empowered in your decisions, not adhering to what "you should do."
I felt completely defeated. I had truly believed I’d done everything "right," and when it didn’t go as I’d hoped, I was devastated.
Hi, I’m Jaya.
I firmly believe that there is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to fertility. Every individual’s journey is unique, every body different, every partnership and conception experience distinct. Every challenge faced while trying to conceive is its own. So, the journey toward feeling fully empowered in your fertility begins with you and your own unique mindset.
I didn’t always believe this. For much of my life, I was committed to the most natural path. Growing up surrounded by Chinese medicine and acupuncture, I developed a deep respect for natural health and wellness. But, after the birth of my daughter, my perspective evolved.
During my home birth, things took an unexpected turn, and what was supposed to be a natural birth became an emergency cesarean.
Through all of this, I realized how vital it is to help women find peace with their decisions, and I became passionate about helping them reconcile both natural and medical approaches to fertility, finding what works best for them. This carried over into my Traditional Chinese Medicine practice.
This critical piece is often overlooked by conventional medicine. I’m fascinated by how our beliefs, experiences, and expectations shape not only how we process pain but also how they impact our cycles, ovulation, and response to fertility treatments.
It’s about finding the right team and blending both conventional and natural approaches for the best results. I guide clients on when to lean on conventional medicine to ensure everyone is working toward the same goal.
This is where we lay the groundwork - through nutrition, targeted supplements, lifestyle shifts, and functional testing. It’s about getting your body into the best possible state for conception, identifying what’s missing, and making strategic, evidence-based changes that actually move the needle.
I truly believe that support, compassion, and understanding are the missing pieces. These elements can transform how women experience their fertility journey - leading to a more joyful, fulfilling experience.
Whether it’s refining nutrition, managing stress, or exploring new treatments, the goal has always been to empower them to take control of their fertility in a way that feels right for them.
No one should feel like they’re failing because their path looks different or takes longer. I want couples to feel empowered as they navigate their journey.
Since starting my practice, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of fertility clients who have faced emotional, physical, and relational challenges. Through our work together, they’ve discovered the importance of prioritizing their own health and well-being, building supportive relationships with their partners, and establishing personalized self-care routines.
My clients have learned to navigate the complexities of their cycles, improve their overall health and fertility, explore new therapies, and embrace lifestyle changes that support reproductive health - ultimately going on to have healthy babies.
However, the fertility journey is about more than these three steps and my mission is to help reframe how we approach fertility - shifting away from judgment and focusing on real support and guidance.
